(CLOSED) Bun & Co.: NYC: LES

I had already noticed this place offering Cambodian sandwiches, which I correctly guessed would be a slight deviation from banh mis (all the sandwiches are served with cucumbers, pickled carrots, cilantro, and chili mayo), so when I saw a Groupon offered for it, I jumped at the chance.

I could tell it would be interesting and delicious, so when one of my friends from Dallas flew in to visit me in New York City, I took him here for his first meal.

Grilled Corn on the Cob with Chili mayo, coconut flakes, chili powder

Yummy, a bit indulgent, not very spicy (don't be scared), mm...

Grilled Portabello Mushrooms with a Grape Vinaigrette

This was tasty but without surprises.  I wish my friend had let me order for him.

Grilled Spanish Mackerel with Leeks and Thai-basil Infused Olive Oil

This was good, but the fish was just a hair overpowering.

They also have a nice little selection of beers on tap.

Goddamnit, apparently they're now closed.  Poop.
